On March 6, 2025, the "COSCO SHIPPING Lily" ship built by Yangzhou COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industries for COSCO SHIPPING was named and unveiled on the Yangtze River. This is the fourth and final work of the 16000TEU methanol dual-fuel series container ship built by the shipyard. This series of ships surrendered to the ship "COSCO SHIPPING Yangpu" named on February 18, 2025, including "COSCO SHIPPING Carnation" and "COSCO SHIPPING Panama", has been delivered and put into operation in the Far East to the southwest and east of the United States within one year, with stable performance and good green reputation. The "COSCO Shipping Lily" wheel has a total length of 366 meters and a width of 51 meters. Its deck area exceeds three standard football fields and its carrying capacity reaches 16136 standard boxes. Its core green technology lies in the configuration of the world's first set of domestic WinGD methanol dual-fuel main engine, methanol dual-fuel generator and marine dual-fuel boiler, the use of "product" shaped methanol compartment layout optimization space. Compared with traditional energy ships, a single ship can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 120000 tons per year, and the carbon intensity index (EEDI) is more than 50% better than the baseline, while reducing carbon emissions by about 8.9. The ship is also equipped with an intelligent central control system, which realizes the intelligent management of the whole operation process. The round is expected to be put into the South China to the southwest of the United States (SEA line), adding new green capacity to the Shanghai-Los Angeles/Long Beach green corridor, reflecting COSCO Shipping's significant progress in promoting the low-carbon transformation and intelligent development of the shipping industry.
