In February 2024, the production and operation of Wenzhou Port Group achieved a good start, with a cargo throughput of more than 2.3 million tons, an increase of 8.9 percent over the same period last year; container throughput was particularly outstanding, exceeding 110000 TEUs, a sharp increase of 24.3 percent over the same period last year. In terms of bulk cargo business, the port has also made new breakthroughs, successfully introducing the coal business of China Coal Shangrao Power Plant, expanding the supply channels, and successfully completing the roll-on-roll operation of the first ship of this year, marking an important step in the expansion of commodity vehicle logistics business. The landing of new business and the steady growth of existing business have jointly contributed to the continued rise in bulk cargo throughput. On the whole, the main indicators of Wenzhou Port in February maintained a steady growth trend, laying a solid foundation for high-quality development in the new year.

The main production and operation indicators maintained a steady growth trend, laying a solid foundation for high-quality development in the new year.

　　In terms of container business, Wenzhou Port Group actively expanded its route network and continuously improved its service capabilities. In February, it successfully launched its first Middle East ocean route, further expanding Wenzhou's maritime logistics channel to countries along the "Belt and Road," providing foreign trade enterprises with more convenient and efficient options for going overseas. At the same time, the "land-to-water" business continued to gain momentum, effectively alleviating land transportation pressure and improving logistics efficiency. Meanwhile, the company leveraged the advantages of multimodal transport channels such as sea-rail intermodal, sea-river intermodal, and water-water transshipment, continuously weaving a dense collection and distribution network, attracting foreign trade enterprises from central and western Zhejiang and surrounding areas to choose Wenzhou Port for export, strongly supporting the high-speed growth of container throughput.

During the month, Wenzhou Port successfully introduced the coal business of China Coal Shangrao Power Plant, further expanding the port's cargo source channels and deepening strategic cooperation with key customers. At the same time, it successfully completed the first car ro-ro operation of the year, marking an important step forward for the port in expanding the logistics business of commercial vehicles. With the implementation of new businesses and the steady growth of existing businesses, Wenzhou Port's bulk cargo throughput continues to rise.
