During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the Chinese people's courts gave full play to their judicial functions and provided a solid legal guarantee for the high-quality development of the marine economy. It is worth noting that the number of cases involving offshore wind power, deep-sea aquaculture, marine energy and other new marine quality productivity has increased rapidly year by year, and it has shown new characteristics such as cross-field, high-tech, and large-scale. In terms of foreign-related maritime trials, the people's courts have tried 12000 foreign-related cases involving 146 countries and regions, and their international influence is increasing. More and more foreign parties take the initiative to choose the jurisdiction of Chinese courts. China is becoming the preferred place for international maritime dispute resolution. In addition, the maritime dispute resolution mechanism has been continuously optimized. In 2025, the first instance withdrawal rate of maritime courts across the country will reach 59%. The mediation system has played an important role in efficiently resolving conflicts, promoting economic development and maintaining stability.
