On March 9, 2024, Shandong port Qingdao port successfully made its maiden voyage of "Haifeng Hainan", officially opening the exclusive direct route from Qingdao to Iloilo, Philippines. The route realizes the direct transportation of goods between the two places, eliminating the need for barges, trailers and other links in the traditional transit mode, significantly reducing the comprehensive logistics costs of enterprises, and increasing the time limit for the whole transportation by at least one day. With stable flight schedule and sufficient shipping space, it effectively connects Qingdao, Iloilo, Cebu, Cagayan and other core ports of China and the Philippines, which can flexibly meet the diversified and personalized logistics needs of bilateral trade. In order to ensure the high efficiency and smoothness of the first flight, Qingdao Port optimized the operation plan and loading and unloading process in advance to realize seamless connection of all links. The comprehensive berth efficiency reached 83.8 natural boxes/hour, demonstrating the port's excellent service guarantee capability. This new route is the third Southeast Asian route opened by Qingdao Port this year, which further weaves the regional logistics network and provides more convenient and efficient channel support for deepening economic and trade cooperation between China and the Philippines and even between China and Southeast Asia. In the future, Qingdao Port will continue to optimize the route operation system and serve the country's opening-up strategy.
