Qingdao Port of Shandong Port has launched a direct shipping route to the Philippines, fully opening a new logistics channel between China and the Philippines.

　　On March 9, at the U2 berth of the container terminal in the Qianwan Port area of Qingdao Port, Shandong Port, the "Hai Feng Hainan" ship, carrying agricultural and sideline products, chemical raw materials, and other goods, successfully completed loading and unloading operations and set sail directly to Iloilo, Philippines. This marks the successful maiden voyage of the new Philippine route launched by Hai Feng Shipping at Qingdao Port, adding an efficient new engine to deepen Sino-Philippine economic and trade exchanges and smooth bilateral logistics channels.

　　It is understood that this route is the exclusive direct route from Qingdao to Iloilo, with no need for transshipment at other ports throughout the journey. Compared to the traditional transshipment model, it eliminates transshipment links such as barges and trailers, effectively reducing the comprehensive logistics costs for enterprises, and improves the overall transportation efficiency by at least 1 day, truly achieving efficient direct access and economical and convenient two-way circulation of goods between the two places. The route has stable schedules and ample cabin resources, connecting core ports such as Qingdao, Iloilo, Cebu, and Cagayan, and can precisely match the diversified and personalized logistics needs of Sino-Philippine trade, injecting strong momentum into the continuous deepening of Sino-Philippine economic and trade cooperation.

　　To ensure efficient and smooth maiden voyage operations, Qingdao Port formulated a special operation plan in advance, optimized ship loading and unloading processes, and achieved seamless connection and efficient coordination in all aspects of ship docking and departure, loading and unloading operations, and customs inspection. The comprehensive berth efficiency reached 83.8 natural containers/hour, completing the maiden voyage task with safe, high-quality, and efficient operation services, demonstrating Qingdao Port's strong service guarantee capability as a Northeast Asia international shipping hub, and laying a solid foundation for the stable operation of the weekly route.
