Egg Market Analysis:
Today, egg prices in main production areas continued their upward trend. The average price of brown-shell eggs was 5.16 CNY/jin and white-shell eggs 5.14 CNY/jin, with the spread narrowing to 0.02. The average price in main production areas was 5.15 CNY/jin, up 0.25 CNY/jin compared to the previous trading day.
Today's National Egg MarketContinues Upward Trend。After consecutive egg price increases, purchasing sentiment in some regions has slightly declined. However, with Mid-Autumn Festival stocking demand still present, the overall shipment pace maintains a relatively fast trend. Combined with the gradual easing of high temperatures, downstream stocking sentiment has improved. With egg prices rising consecutively, inventory at all levels remains low, stimulating purchasing willingness to stay at a relatively high level.

Egg Market Outlook:
On the supply side, rising egg prices have stimulated farmers to hold back and wait during the peak season. Combined with currently acceptable layer farming profitability and relatively normal restocking by large enterprises, egg supply inventory is expected to improve.
On the demand side, food factory Mid-Autumn peak purchasing has arrived as expected. Combined with the gradual easing of high temperatures, downstream procurement and stocking demand is being released progressively. Approaching month-end, school reopening group meal demand is also expected to improve.
Overall, after sustained increases, some regions show slight resistance to purchasing. However, downstream demand is in a relatively peak season, purchasing pace at all levels remains acceptable, overall trading sentiment is optimistic, and the market is expected to still have room for further gains.
Egg Futures Trend:
On Aug 17, the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) egg futures main contract 2610 opened at 3988, with a high of 3994, low of 3911, and settlement price of 3937, down 2/0.05%. Trading volume was 556,341 lots, and open interest was 305,903lots.
Egg Index Analysis:
According to Cold Chain Duoduo data, the domestic egg spot price index on Aug 17 was 5.146, up 0.186 or 3.75% compared to the previous working day.
