Egg Market: Stocking Retreats, Egg Prices Take a Break
Egg Market Analysis
Today, egg prices in major producing areas entered a relatively stable trend, with pink egg prices seeing a slight pullback. The average price of red eggs stood at 4.96 CNY/jin, and the average price of pink eggs at 4.97 CNY/jin, with a price spread of 0.01 between the two. The egg market temporarily stabilized today, as back-to-school stocking demand has largely concluded, centralized procurement demand has faded, and the pace of market sales has noticeably slowed. Traders' enthusiasm for purchasing has declined, and producing areas lack new demand drivers, resulting in insufficient momentum for price increases. Today, producing area prices were overall stable, with only a few regions making minor adjustments based on their own sales conditions, and the market has not yet shown any trend-based rises or falls.

Egg Market Outlook
On the supply side, farming operations remain highly profitable, large-scale enterprises maintain normal enthusiasm for restocking, and most are proceeding in an orderly manner as planned. The number of newly laying hens continues to increase, and the laying flock is steadily recovering; combined with gradually falling temperatures, the egg production rate is recovering in step, making egg supply increasingly abundant, with supply-side pressure continuing to accumulate. On the demand side, centralized procurement demand has faded, the pace of terminal sales has slowed, and performance has been relatively flat. The trading sector lacks confidence in the market outlook, with purchasing becoming more cautious and mostly maintaining only essential procurement. Affected by both slowing sales and cautious purchasing, inventory in some regions has already shown signs of minor accumulation, and supply pressure may gradually emerge going forward. Overall, with back-to-school stocking concluded, terminal sales slowing, traders purchasing cautiously, and inventory already showing signs of increase in some areas, egg prices lack upward momentum. Prices are expected to remain stable overall, with possible minor declines in some regions.
