The average price in main production areas was 5.25 CNY/jin, down 0.01 CNY/jin compared to the previous trading day.
Today's egg market price movement continued the trend of the previous trading day. Earlier, production area prices saw concentrated surges, but terminal market follow-through was insufficient, digestion pace was slow, and the farming side maintained a strong selling sentiment, leading to divergent shipment performance across regions. Today, production area prices were overall stable with mixed local gains and losses, and the market lacked unified directional guidance.

Wait-and-see sentiment dominates downstream, purchasing willingness is generally low, procurement strategies tend conservative, mostly limited to small on-demand replenishment, and willingness to build inventory is insufficient. The demand side lacks effective support, and the short-term market is under significant pressure. Tomorrow's market is expected to remain weak, with some regions seeing potential for slight price declines.

On Aug 26, the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) egg futures main contract 2610 opened at 3748, with a high of 3784, low of 3737, and settlement price of 3764, up 29/0.77%. Trading volume was 464,529 lots, and open interest was 258,416 lots.
Egg Index Analysis:
According to Cold Chain Duoduo data, the domestic egg spot price index on Aug 26 was 5.165, down 0.038 or 0.730% compared to the previous working day.
