The physical performance of Titanium
①密度: 纯钛在室温(25℃)时的密度是4.505g/cm3,钛的密度约为钢的 57%、铜的60%、铝的1.8倍。870℃时是4.35g/cm3,900℃时是432g/cm3,随着钛中合金元素加入量的不同,钛合金的密度也有所变化,其变化范围在 4.4~4.9g/cm3之间,β合金一般较重,因它加入大量较重合金元素如钼等。
Density: the density of pure titanium at room temperature (25 ℃) is 4.505g/cm3. The density of titanium is about 57% of that of steel, 60% of that of copper and 1.8 times of that of aluminum. 4.35g/cm3 at 870 ℃ and 432g/cm3 at 3900 ℃. the density of titanium varies with the addition of alloy, that of titanium alloy also will change. the variation range is between 4.4~4.9g/cm3. Generally speaking, β alloy is heavier, because it contains a large number of heavier alloy elements such as molybdenum.
②熔点: 钛的熔点为(1668±5)℃。钛中存在或加人不同的合金元素,都会使熔化温度改变。
Melting point: the melting point of titanium is (1668 ± 5) ℃. The existence or addition of different alloying elements in titanium will change the melting temperature.
③沸点: 钛的沸点为(3260±20)℃。
Boiling point: the boiling point of titanium is (3260 ± 20) ℃.
④比热容:钛在20℃时的比热容是500J/(kg·K),随着温度升高,钛的比热容增大。在882℃时,由于a/β转变,比热容发生突然变化。
Specific heat capacity: the specific heat capacity of titanium at 20 ℃ is 500J/(kg · K). With the temperature rising, the specific heat capacity of titanium increases. At 882 ℃, due to a/ β changed, the specific heat capacity also will changes suddenly.
⑤热膨胀系数:钛的热膨胀系数明显低于铝和钢,为7.6×10-6 1/K。
Thermal expansion coefficient: the thermal expansion coefficient of titanium is significantly lower than that of aluminum and steel, which is 7.6 × 10-6 1/K.
⑥热导率:钛的热导率很低,为17W/(m·K),与 18-8不锈钢相近,这导致钛在铸锭和坯料加热时,以及钛结构焊接时,沿着截面产生很大的温差,从而产生较大的局部应力。
Thermal conductivity: the thermal conductivity of titanium is very low, 17W/(m · K), which is close to 18-8 stainless steel, which leads to a large temperature difference along the section of titanium during the heating of ingots and billets, as well as the welding of titanium structure, resulting in large local stress.
⑦电阻率:钛的电阻率为0.48μQ·m,钛的电阻是相当高的。

⑧磁化系数: 钛的磁化系数为3.4×10-6,钛是无磁的。
Magnetization coefficient: the magnetization coefficient of titanium is 3.4 × 10-6, titanium is nonmagnetic.
⑨弹性模量: 钛的弹性模量一般为103~110GPa,为钢铁材料的一半,易于挠曲。
Elastic modulus: the elastic modulus of titanium is generally 103~110GPa, which is half of that of steel material and is easy to bend.
