色母又名色种，是一种新型高分子材料专用着色剂，亦称颜料制备物。

色母由颜料或染料、载体和添加剂三种基本要素所组成，是把超常量的颜料或染料均匀地载附于树脂之中而得到的聚集体，可称颜料浓缩物，所以色母的着色力高于颜料本身。

1.颜料或染料 Pigments or dyes

颜料又分为有机颜料与无机颜料。Pigments are further divided into organic pigments and inorganic pigments.

常用的有机颜料有：酞菁红、酞菁蓝、酞菁绿、耐晒大红、大分子红、大分子黄、永固黄、永固紫、偶氮红等。

Commonly used organic pigments include phthalocyanine red, phthalocyanine blue, phthalocyanine green, light fast bright red, macromolecular red, macromolecular yellow, Yonggu yellow, Yonggu purple, azo red, etc.

常用的无机颜料有：镉红、镉黄、钛白粉、炭黑、氧化铁红、氧化铁黄等。

2.载体 Carrier

载体是色母粒的基体。专用色母一般选择与制品树脂相同的树脂作为载体，两者的相容性最好，但同时也要考虑载体的流动性。

3.分散剂 dispersant

促使颜料均匀分散并不再凝聚，分散剂的熔点应比树脂低，与树脂有良好的相容性，和颜料有较好的亲和力。最常用的分散剂为：聚乙烯低分子蜡、硬脂酸盐。

Promote the uniform dispersion of pigments and prevent them from agglomerating. The melting point of dispersants should be lower than that of resins, with good compatibility and affinity with pigments. The most commonly used dispersants are polyethylene low molecular wax and stearate.
