相比PVC的加工时的缺陷，TPE更适合夏季的高温环境使用，也更适合有孕妇和婴儿的家庭，毕竟健康问题一丝也不能小看。但TPE的缺点在于注塑过程要求高，模具开发难度大，tpe原材料售价也比pvc高三分之一左右。由于开发成本等原因，导致tpe脚垫在市面上不如pvc脚垫来的多，在国内仅3W等少数厂家选用全TPE材质生产。
